Radiotherapy is a multidisciplinary specialty that uses complex equipment and radiation sources to deliver dose to the planned treatment volume. The objective of the therapeutic dose to the delineated target volume keeping doses to surrounding normal tissues as low as practicable consistent with the clinical requirement. Radiotherapy technologist's play an important role in the procedural.

The association of radiation therapy technologists of India (ARTTI) was formed in the year 1996 with the
efforts of Hyderabad radiation therapy technologists. About 3000+ radiation therapy technologists working in
370 Cancer Hospitals in India. The association was formed to bring all of them under one roof to provide a
platform to express our frank opinion and share our experience with the colleagues. At Present we have 1700
active members in the association. The Association of Radiotherapy technologists of India was founded with
objective of encouraging the Radiation technology & physics in medicine. It provides a forum for Radiation
technologists in the form of conducting annual conferences (at national and international levels) and for
the exchange of ideas and dissemination of new knowledge. The Association collaborates with similar
associations in the world to arise the quality of Radiotherapy in India.
We proudly say that the ARTTI has grown, learned and earned a great recognition & honored in the arena of the entire Radiation Oncology fraternity through its continuous academic engagement, appraisal & development of RTTs in India. It has brought in Global RTT's alliance for participation in the academic activity on the international front, in collaboration with ESTRO (Europe) and PART (Portuguese) sharing experiences among Multidisciplinary of Radiation Oncology.
